Breaking into an area like neurotechnology can seem daunting and mysterious. In this session of STEM Quest 3.0, Joshua Thomas Carter shares his journey from psychology undergraduate to working hands-on with neurostimulation for cognitive enhancement. It explores what neurotech is, how Joshua got involved in it, and what he’s been working on, including lessons from his first year in neurotech: winning an enterprise award for a neurotech business idea, contributing to a book chapter, and building a student neurotech community from scratch. Joshua also shares practical advice on how students from different backgrounds can get involved in neurotech, find opportunities and begin shaping the future of brain technology.
